Punjab Tianjin University of Technology (PTUT) Hosts Its First Board of Faculty Meeting for Civil & Architectural Engineering Technologies

Lahore, January 30, 2025

Punjab Tianjin University of Technology (PTUT) successfully conducted the inaugural meeting of the Board of Faculty for Civil & Architectural Engineering Technologies today in the university’s Conference Room.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Usman Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Civil & Architectural Engineering Technology. Esteemed faculty members and industry experts attended the session, providing valuable insights into curriculum development and academic planning.

Key Agenda Items:

  • Endorsement of minutes from the recent Board of Studies (BoS) meeting.
  • Endorsement of BoS decisions and forwarding them to the Academic Council for final approval.
  • Revisions to the curricula for B.Sc. Civil Engineering Technology and B.Sc. Architectural Engineering Technology to align with National Technology Council (NTC) guidelines.
  • Recommendations for implementing Outcome-Based Education (OBE) frameworks and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs).

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Usman Rashid emphasized the importance of integrating modern construction methodologies and sustainable architectural practices into PTUT’s academic programs. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir and Ar. Zahid Javaid Raja provided insights into industry trends and professional accreditation standards, while Prof. Dr. Sabahat Alamgir highlighted the need for interdisciplinary collaboration between civil and architectural engineering disciplines.

The Board of Faculty reaffirmed PTUT’s commitment to academic excellence by endorsing key decisions from the Board of Studies and forwarding them to the Academic Council for further deliberation. This meeting ensures that PTUT’s programs align with national and international standards and continue to produce industry-ready graduates.
