Visit of Consul General of Peoples Republic of China and Secretary Industries, Commerce, Investment and Skill Development Department, Government of the Punjab at PTUT, Lahore (24 August 2022)

H.E Zhao Shiren, Consul General of Peoples Republic of China to Lahore and Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, Secretary ICI&SD along with Mr. Moazzam Iqbal Sipra, Director General PSDA, Mr. Jalal Hassan, CEO PBIT Mr. Sohail Qadri, Director Policy PBIT and Mr. Abu Bakar Salman, Director SPU visited Punjab Tianjin University of Technology on August 24, 2022. The Vice-Chancellor PTUT, Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Shakir along with University Faculty cordially welcomed the dignitaries. The Secretary ICI & SD greeted the Chinese Consul for accepting the invitation for the visit and emphasized Pak-China relation in this regard. Director Academic, Prof. Dr. Adeel Akram briefed the honorable guests about the developments and future plans of the University. VC, PTUT requested the Consul General to play his role for renewal of agreement made between PTUT and Chinese Universities that would bridge the gap for strengthening the Consortium made among them. The CG ensured that his office will provide all the necessary support to strengthen the consortium. He further added, it is high time to make collaborations in tangible form at each tier to practically uplift both countries. The delegation visited the University campus and met with faculty and students who greeted them with warm welcome. The visit concluded with planting a tree with the hands of CG.
The visit by the Consul General of Peoples Republic of China to Lahore is expected to give a strong fillip to the University in developing its human resource and Technology development.
